Effective January 15, 2011 all customers in the 705 region will need to dial 10 digits when making local calls. The 613 and 519 region started 10 digit dialling in June, 2006. Therefore, Internet Dialup customers will need to
change the dialup number in their connection configuration to include the area code. The ability to dial local calls with 10 digits is available now and we suggest you change your connection configuration as soon as possible.
For example, if you are a Dialup customer in the Belleville area, your modem dials 9666435. You will need to update this to 6139666435.
If you require help with this change, please contact our Technical Support staff at 1-877-962-1399.
