Karen (The Wall) Fortress was an operative down in the Amazon for multiple projects to stop Pentex from destroying it before she met NightStalker. The sucessful Ahroun had her first change early and was quickly making a name for herself and really wasn't ready to leave to join NightStalker's Pack. After proving himself worthy of her attention she agreed that maybe a pack was worth the trouble. 10 years later when NightStalker found Taya and learned that she was Karens daughter she confessed to giving her up to kinfolk so that she could continue fighting the Wyrm. Taya forgave her mother and they are as closer then they ever could be.
