Lilac Inn Bed & Breakfast || Making A Reservation
The Lilac Inn Bed & Breakfast is in Glovertown, Newfoundland.
For those of you familiar with Newfoundland, and its anatomy you can find
Glovertown on the Northeast Coast of Newfoundland near Gander and just
outside Terra Nova National Park. Here's a the
big version of the map on the right.
How To Get Here!
If you are coming for a visit, perhaps you should print out the
following text and the map to aid in your journey. Please note that clicking on
the picture below leads to a larger map
of the area surrounding the Lilac Inn.
From the TransCanada Highway, take Route 310 into Glovertown. As you
drive into Glovertown you will get a brief view of Alexander Bay. Don't
pause too long though, The Lilac Inn is situated just a stone's throw
from Alexander Bay. Glovertown is made primarily of families resettled during
Premier Joey Smallwood's resettlement campaign which was designed to bring the small
scattered villages, often on Islands such as found in Bonavista Bay, into
larger towns where resources such as electricity and running water could
be found. Premier Smallwood, was the last father of Confederation and his
birthplace of Gambo can be found approximately 15 minutes down the Trans-Canada
Highway towards Gander.
As you drive into Glovertown, you will pass the Fire Hall, Town Hall, and Postal
Office to your left. As you round the corner with the Irving Gas Station on your
right, Pine Tree Road is on your left. It is here you want to turn. Down Pine
Tree Road you will find the Lilac Inn on your left. Don't worry, you can't miss it.
